Italy GP : Max pips Ferrari to win 10 in a row

Max had to do some work but he managed to get past Carlos to win in Italy. This would be his record-braking 10 wins in a row.

Max maximum in Italy

Max knows he has a fast car under him. Red Bull knows they have a fast car. Everyone knows that the fastest car on the grid is Red Bull. However, we have never seen the level of consistency and perfection that we see from Max and Red Bull. Max Verstappen has won 10-races in a row. Red Bull has won all the races in the 2023 season. Calling them utterly dominant would be an understatement. They are having a purple-patch moment and are utterly invincible.

Carlos did make Max work harder in Italy to overtake and take the race lead. Once however Max was ahead then there was no looking back. He easily kept his top position and went on to win the race in Italy. His team-mate meanwhile had to fight a lot of battles to move up the grid but he finally managed to do so to finish P2, making it a sweet Red Bull 1-2. He first had to fight hard with George Russell, then Charles and then just a few laps before the race ended he managed to pip Carlos and get that second place on the podium. Sergio would be hoping to have a more consistent rest of the season.

Ferrari fought hard in Italy

Ferrari went all guns blazing for their home race in Italy. They got fresh engines and special extremely low-drag wings for their home race in Italy. They even managed to pip Red Bull in Quali to get pole. However they had no response to Max and Red Bull. Still Carlos gave a very good fight and fought hard – first with Max, then with Checo and then even with his team-mate Charles for the final podium position. To be fair, even Charles did a decent job and both the Ferraris were clearly the second best car on the grid – deservedly finishing 3rd and 4th. This is in complete contrast with the Dutch GP where as per Carlos they were the 6th fastest car on the grid. Ferrari seems to be in a much better position going to Singapore.

Mercedes the third fastest

Mercedes was the third fastest car on the grid and they finished 5th and 6th. George had a good weekend and managed to get past Albon. Lewis Hamilton struggled with his car but managed to hold on to 6th position. It is a tight battle now between Ferrari, Mercedes and McLaren for the second position. Aston Martin seems to have fallen a bit of the cliff. Alpine have been really inconsistent. Last weekend Gasly was on podium and this weekend he was on the back of the grid.

Albon had a good race and managed to hold on to P7. Norris had a decent race and finished P8. He team-mate Oscar had a race to forget as his wing got damaged by Hamilton and had to move back. Alonso finished in P9 and Bottas managed to get the final point at P10, after a long time.
