<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Kimi sets the world record in Canada for winning his first 4 race in a row as George’s car broke down. Hamilton came in second as Max got the third spot. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="800" height="1000" src="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/kimi-canada-gp-winner.jpg?resize=800%2C1000&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-1822" style="width:498px;height:auto" loading="lazy" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/kimi-canada-gp-winner.jpg?resize=819%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 819w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/kimi-canada-gp-winner.jpg?resize=240%2C300&amp;ssl=1 240w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/kimi-canada-gp-winner.jpg?resize=768%2C960&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/kimi-canada-gp-winner.jpg?w=960&amp;ssl=1 960w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Mercedes strong but disappoint George</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Kimi had won 3 races in a row and that obviously put a lot of pressure on George. He brushed it off saying that Miami anyway was not his strong hunting ground. Things were suppose to get better from Canada and for the European leg of the race. Kimi had struggled in Europe last year. George looked confident and he did perform well in the Sprint Quali and the Sprint race. Things got heated up in the Sprint race between George and Kimi but then Toto Wolff would have got things under control. In the Quali Kimi looked very confident but then lost by a narrow margin to George in the last run of Q3.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">With the rain threatening, the race started in a dicey condition. Kimi got ahead of George but could not fly away as he would have expected. George got the lead again. There was a lot of back and forth between the two and things were getting spicy. However mid-way, George’s car just stopped on the track. This was a big jolt. His deficit was already increasing and now it is 43 points. Kimi is on a high and George is distraught. However this is a long season and like last year the senior team member still can catch up. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">McLaren disaster in Canada</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">McLaren have got some good upgrades and they are looking solid. However they started the race on Inters when everyone else was on slicks. This costed them dearly and both their drivers had to come for pit-stop quickly and they fell down the grid. It will be a race to forget for the McLarens. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Upbeat Hamilton in Canada </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Hamilton was looking quite upbeat in Canada. He was fast but could only secure P5 in the grid. He got a good start and after McLaren fumble and George DNF he was fighting with Max for the second spot on the podium. This confident Hamilton is seen after a long time. He would be looking forward to Monaco. On the other hand Charles was not in the groove at all. There was no pace and he just wanted the race to be over. He still finished a respectable P4. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Max pushing up in Canada</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Max had a solid last weekend in Nürburgring, which he did not win but was super still. He was off the pace here and complaining all the time but still finished on the podium. Isack Hadjar had issues too and the pace was missing but still finished P5. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Franco Colapinto got the finish finish at P6 and Gasly P8. Liam Lawson got P7, Carlos P9 and Ollie P10. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Kimi scores a hat-trick in Miami and firms his grip on the Championship. Mclaren have done mighty well to recover as Lando finished P2 and Oscar P3.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="800" height="450" src="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Kimi-miami-26-winner.jpg?resize=800%2C450&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-1815" loading="lazy" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Kimi-miami-26-winner-scaled.jpg?resize=1024%2C576&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Kimi-miami-26-winner-scaled.jpg?resize=300%2C169&amp;ssl=1 300w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Kimi-miami-26-winner-scaled.jpg?resize=768%2C432&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Kimi-miami-26-winner-scaled.jpg?resize=1536%2C864&amp;ssl=1 1536w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Kimi-miami-26-winner-scaled.jpg?w=2048&amp;ssl=1 2048w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/Kimi-miami-26-winner-scaled.jpg?w=1600&amp;ssl=1 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Kimi hat-trick in Miami </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Mercedes was ahead in the game of building a solid car and an engine in the new regulations. George Russell started the year well and was firmly in command of the season in the beginning. Things started to turn around from China. In his just second season in F1 Kimi is already a proven race winner. Kimi is just 19 years old and Toto Wolff put in a some good faith by putting Kimi directly in the top team. There were a lot of edges to be smoothened in the first season but the patience seem to be paying off now. Kimi is consistent and seem to have been better adapted to this new car. The race was not smooth though. Kimi had a bad start, again, and then he had to claw his way back to the top. He did a great job and has become the first ever driver to have got first three poles in a row as well as converted it into wins. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">George Russell needs to seriously think about the situation and he cannot take things for granted. George treated Kimi as the younger brother and his protege of sorts. However Kimi has turned out to be more than a handful. He finished P4 but was out of touch throughout the weekend. He has some catching up to do. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">McLaren come back in Miami </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Speaking of come back, McLaren seems to have recovered some solid ground after a big break. They were almost in the mid-field when the season started. Now they are very much in the contention to fight Mercedes. Lando found his mojo back in Miami and was super in the Sprint. Even the main race he made his way to P2. Oscar did well in Japan but here seemed to be out of touch. He still managed to be on the podium at P3. Mercedes will be getting upgrades the next race and McLaren needs to be careful to lose the momentum. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Ferrari fumble in Miami </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Ferrari as usual looked promising but then the results showed otherwise Charles LeClerc looked good. He started in P3, got ahead in the race but then slowly fell back to P3 as Kimi and Lando got ahead of him. Then towards the end even Oscar got ahead. Things went from bad to worse as Charles had a minor crash on the last lap and he had to get his broken car back to the finish line. From leading the race at the start he finished a lowly P8 in the end. Hamilton also did not have much to talk about. He finished P7. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Max comeback in Miami </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Red Bull seemed to have made a good come back. The car is much more nicer to drive, especially in the hands of Max. He started from the front row but an early pit stop meant driving on the Hard tyre for a majority of the race. He slipped down and eventually finished in P5. Still a lot of positives for the team. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Franco Colapinto finished an impressive P7 while both the Williams driver scored points. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Miami GP Top 10 : Kimi wins </h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="800" height="1000" src="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/miami-kimi-top-10-winner.jpg?resize=800%2C1000&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-1816" style="width:515px;height:auto" loading="lazy" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/miami-kimi-top-10-winner.jpg?resize=819%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 819w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/miami-kimi-top-10-winner.jpg?resize=240%2C300&amp;ssl=1 240w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/miami-kimi-top-10-winner.jpg?resize=768%2C960&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/miami-kimi-top-10-winner.jpg?w=1080&amp;ssl=1 1080w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Kimi wins the race in Japan to become the youngest title leader. Oscar finally starting a race finished P2 while LeClerc held off George to finish P3.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="800" height="1000" src="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/japan-gp-kimi-2026.jpg?resize=800%2C1000&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-1804" style="aspect-ratio:0.7997970180232271;width:568px;height:auto" loading="lazy" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/japan-gp-kimi-2026-scaled.jpg?resize=819%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 819w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/japan-gp-kimi-2026-scaled.jpg?resize=240%2C300&amp;ssl=1 240w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/japan-gp-kimi-2026-scaled.jpg?resize=768%2C960&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/japan-gp-kimi-2026-scaled.jpg?resize=1229%2C1536&amp;ssl=1 1229w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/japan-gp-kimi-2026-scaled.jpg?w=1638&amp;ssl=1 1638w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Kimi showing pace in Japan </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We know that the Mercedes is fast and they have an upper hand in the starting of the season with all the new regulations. What has come as a surprise is how close is Kimi to his well established team-mate George Russell. His rookie season last year had his share of ups and downs as one would expect from an 18 year old directly hurled into a top team like Mercedes. That patience by Toto Wolff has paid off as the new season started. Kimi is on the pace right from get go. He was close to George in every practice session in all the race. He won the race in China to become the second youngest race winner, after Max Verstappen. That could have been attributed to a bit of luck. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">However here in Japan he was better than George in all the practice session and got the Pole. George was struggling with issues and he was never close to Kimi. Then the start went bad as it has been the case with Mercedes in all the races. Kimi went down to P6. George also had a bad start but still maintained a decent position. <br><br>Then Bearman had a massive shunt which changed the fortunes for everyone. George had pitted just a lap before and Kimi got a free pitstop. He made the most of it and took the race win. Kimi is the youngest Championship leader in F1. While we had a long season ahead George cannot take things for granted anymore. Also McLaren, especially under the hands of Piastri showed solid pace and they can be a contender soon. <br><br><br>Piastri starts a race, finishes P2 in Japan </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Oscar Piastri was unfortunate to not even start the first two races. Here he got a good start and well into the lead but then the Safety car and he had to settle for P2. Lando finished P5 and he seems to be content with the 2025 Championship and not showing the hunger anymore. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><br><br>Ferrari P3 and P6 in Japan </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Charles had a good race to finish P3. However Ferrari still doesn’t have the race pace to fight Mercedes. Now even McLaren seems to be coming strong and fighting with them. Hamilton looked good but eventually settled for P6. Ferrari had a good car and is solid at the start but they need to work hard to get more performance if they want to fight Mercedes for the title. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Pierre Gasly had a solid race as he kept Max Verstappen off and finished P7 while Max finished P8. Would would have thought this was possible even a few years back. Liam Lawson finished P9 and Esteban scored the final race point. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Japan GP Top 10: Kimi wins the race </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Mercedes seems to have the upper hand in the new regulations as George wins the opening race in Australia. Fellow driver Kimi Antonelli came second while Charles got the final podium spot. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="800" height="1000" src="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/George-Russell-Australia-2026-winner.jpg?resize=800%2C1000&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-1800" style="aspect-ratio:0.79980355359623;width:410px;height:auto" loading="lazy" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/George-Russell-Australia-2026-winner-scaled.jpg?resize=819%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 819w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/George-Russell-Australia-2026-winner-scaled.jpg?resize=240%2C300&amp;ssl=1 240w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/George-Russell-Australia-2026-winner-scaled.jpg?resize=768%2C960&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/George-Russell-Australia-2026-winner-scaled.jpg?resize=1229%2C1536&amp;ssl=1 1229w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/George-Russell-Australia-2026-winner-scaled.jpg?w=1638&amp;ssl=1 1638w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">George takes Merc to victory in Australia</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Mercedes looked solid in all the practice sessions. While they missed the regulations from 2022-25, it doesn’t seem to be the case in this new era. They control the PU and also have a solid team which can build a Championship winning car. The Qualifying was astonishing as both the Merc had a healthy lead over Ferrari which seemed like a distant second. <br><br>George did not get the start he hoped for as Charles got a solid start. However Mercedes made the most of the Virtual Safety Car and got the pitstops at the right time. George had the pace and eventually overtook the two Ferraris. Kimi did a decent job too with being there with George all the time. Mercedes seem to have the upper hand currently but it needs to be seen if they can sustain it in the entire season. <br><br>Ferrari second best in Australia <br><br>Ferrari have a good package but they need to work on the performance. Charles LeClerc got a solid start but it was not enough to sustain it. He finished third and Hamilton was fourth. They have a good starting point but fighting Mercedes would not be easy. Ferrari have two solid drivers they just need to get everything together. <br><br>Arvid Lindblad scored points in his rookie F1 race. Audi scored points in their first F1 race. <br><br>Australia GP : Top 10 – George wins<br></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">George Russell had a performance that came from nowhere in Singapore. Max came second and Norris third. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="800" height="450" src="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/singapore-george.jpg?resize=800%2C450&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-1753" loading="lazy" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/singapore-george-scaled.jpg?resize=1024%2C576&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/singapore-george-scaled.jpg?resize=300%2C169&amp;ssl=1 300w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/singapore-george-scaled.jpg?resize=768%2C432&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/singapore-george-scaled.jpg?resize=1536%2C864&amp;ssl=1 1536w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/singapore-george-scaled.jpg?w=2048&amp;ssl=1 2048w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/singapore-george-scaled.jpg?w=1600&amp;ssl=1 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">George wins in Singapore </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">George by his own admission was not expecting any good performance in Singapore. The Mercedes is more suited to colder temperatures and Singapore certainly is not one. The practice sessions on Friday were not good either. However things came alive in the final Q3 session and George took the Pole position. From then onwards there was no looking back in the race. George was ahead of Max at the first turn and he went on to win the race. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">His rookie team mate was not bad either, driving in Singapore for the first time. He finished P5. Mercedes would be hoping to continue the positive turn of events in the Americas too. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Mclaren wins Constructors in Singapore</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It was pretty obvious that McLaren will win the Constructors. They were dominant throughout the season and both the drivers performed well. Winning the Constructors 6 races before the season ends is a testament to that. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">However their drivers are fighting hard with each other for the Driver’s Championship. Oscar is leading the race but Lando is not far behind. The Quali did not go as well as they would have expected though with Oscar starting P3 and Lando P5. However Lando was on the cleaner side and he managed to sneak in and get ahead of Oscar in the first lap. There was a slight touch and Oscar was not happy about it at all. This is very unlike of him as he stays calm most of the time. The crash in Baku and the pressures of the Championship seems to be weighting him down. Lando has no regrets and sees it as a racing incident but things are starting to heat up between the two. The gap between them is just 22 points and now that the Constructors is wrapped up, it is game on between the two. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Max still in the hunt in Singapore</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Red Bull seems to have come alive with Max winning the previous two races. Even here he almost got the Pole. Max took the risk to start on Softs and get a jump ahead but that did not materialize. Eventually he had to settle for P2. He would still be happy. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Both the Ferraris were disappointing again With Charles finishing P6 and Lewis P8. Alonso finished P7 and Carlos P10. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Singapore GP Top 10 : George wins </h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="800" height="1000" src="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Singapore-George-top-10.jpg?resize=800%2C1000&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-1754" style="width:670px;height:auto" loading="lazy" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Singapore-George-top-10.jpg?resize=819%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 819w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Singapore-George-top-10.jpg?resize=240%2C300&amp;ssl=1 240w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Singapore-George-top-10.jpg?resize=768%2C960&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Singapore-George-top-10.jpg?w=1080&amp;ssl=1 1080w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">George Russell wins the Canada GP as rookie team-mate Kimi got his first podium. Max came second as the two McLarens collide.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="800" height="800" src="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/canada-george-2025-win-.jpg?resize=800%2C800&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-1718" style="width:542px;height:auto" loading="lazy" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/canada-george-2025-win--scaled.jpg?resize=1024%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/canada-george-2025-win--scaled.jpg?resize=300%2C300&amp;ssl=1 300w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/canada-george-2025-win--scaled.jpg?resize=150%2C150&amp;ssl=1 150w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/canada-george-2025-win--scaled.jpg?resize=768%2C768&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/canada-george-2025-win--scaled.jpg?resize=1536%2C1536&amp;ssl=1 1536w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/canada-george-2025-win--scaled.jpg?w=2048&amp;ssl=1 2048w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/canada-george-2025-win--scaled.jpg?w=1600&amp;ssl=1 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">George Magic in Canada </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Mercedes have been out of the picture for quite some time. The last three races have not gone well for them, especially Kimi. Even in the practice session Mercedes was nowhere to be been as it was dominated by McLaren. However in the final lap of Q3 George pulled out a stunner to score the Pole. Even Kimi did well to get P4 on the grid. In the race George was faultless and unlike last year in Canada, this time he was able to hold on to the position to secure a well earned race win. Max tried to challenge him at times but he was in no position to do so as George had covered all the bases. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Even the other Mercedes driver, the rookie Kimi Antonelli, did a great job as he overtook Piastri on the first lap and then maintained that position for the rest of the race, earning him his podium in Formula 1. Mercedes have now overtaken Ferarri to become the second best team in the Constructors. The fight for P2 and P3 will be close right till the end of the season. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">McLaren fumble in Canada</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In the pre-race interview Lando had said that it was inevitable that he and Oscar will collide at some point in the season, given the closely fought battle between them for the driver’s Championship. No one would have thought that it will happen so soon. Both the McLaren drivers were at different positions on the grid and had different strategy. However they found themselves close to each others towards the end of the race. Lando tried to sneak up behind Oscar but ended up crashing into the wall and that ended his race. Thankfully Oscar was fine and at least he finished P4. McLaren was well ahead in the Constructors but the Driver’s title fight is very much on. Not only Oscar and Lando but Max is also in the fight and given we still have quite a bit of the season in front of us we cannot discount George and LeClerc too. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Max showing promise </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Max is the most talented driver on the grid and you can never discount him in the Championship. This season has got a lot of ups and down. Monaco was pretty average but Montreal was different. He had the pace and put himself on the front row. While not being able to challenge George, he maintained his P2 position comfortably. He is very much in the fight for the Championship. Meanwhile Yuki Tsunoda had another pointless race but then Red Bull doesn’t have many options for the second seat. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Ferrari again had a mediocre race with Charles finishing P5 and Lewis P6. Alonso did well to get P7. Nico scored a fantastic P8 with Ocon in P9 and Sainz got the final point at P10. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Canada GP Top 10: George wins </h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="800" height="1000" src="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/canada-george-win-top-10.jpg?resize=800%2C1000&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-1719" style="width:557px;height:auto" loading="lazy" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/canada-george-win-top-10.jpg?resize=819%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 819w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/canada-george-win-top-10.jpg?resize=240%2C300&amp;ssl=1 240w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/canada-george-win-top-10.jpg?resize=768%2C960&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/canada-george-win-top-10.jpg?w=960&amp;ssl=1 960w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">George Russell had a sublime race as he lead from Pole to win the race at Las Vegas. Max became a four time World Champion. Lewis and Sainz came P2 and P3. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="800" height="1000" src="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/george-vegas-gp-winner-max-.jpg?resize=800%2C1000&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-1666" style="width:542px;height:auto" loading="lazy" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/george-vegas-gp-winner-max--scaled.jpg?resize=819%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 819w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/george-vegas-gp-winner-max--scaled.jpg?resize=240%2C300&amp;ssl=1 240w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/george-vegas-gp-winner-max--scaled.jpg?resize=768%2C960&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/george-vegas-gp-winner-max--scaled.jpg?resize=1229%2C1536&amp;ssl=1 1229w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/george-vegas-gp-winner-max--scaled.jpg?w=1639&amp;ssl=1 1639w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">George Magic at Vegas </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">George Russell had a super drive as he lead from the Pole to win the race at Las Vegas. Mercedes showed some exceptional pace which even they are not able to figure out where it came from. Most likely it is the colder temperatures which worked in the favour of Mercedes. George was concerned whether he will be able to convert the Pole to a race win or not. Ferrari looked mighty strong in Race Pace. However George got a great start and he kept his nose ahead at the first turn. From then on wards there was no looking back. George had some solid pace and was ahead the entire race. There were no yellow/red flags throughout the race and George won smoothly. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Equally impressive was Lewis Hamilton who won Driver of the Day. He looked very strong in the practice sessions. However the Q3 session of Qualifying did not go well and he had to start P10. Lewis did an impressive job in his fast Mercedes and kept moving up the grid to eventually finish P2 in the race. A Mercedes 1-2 has come after a long time. However it has to be seen whether Mercedes are able to maintain the pace or not. Currently they are in a lonely 4th position in the Constructor’s Championship and that is unlikely to change. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Ferrari overshadowed by Mercs at Vegas</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Ferrari had a strong pace in the practice sessions and they looked good overall. Mercedes then came out of nowhere and they were clearly quicker than the Ferraris. Still the Ferrari drivers did a decent job and finished P3 and P4, behind the two Mercs. They are very much in the battle for Constructor’s title against McLaren and Red Bulls. Ferrari needs to keep the pace and maintain the momentum as they head in the final two races. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Max World Champion at Vegas</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Max has showed this year why he truly deserves to win the World Championship. Despite not having the fastest car all the time he did not put a step out and got every ounce of performance from the car. When he did not have the fastest car he tried to maximize the result. When he did, he ensured that he was P1. Experience did play a big role. He did not buckle under pressure and kept on chipping. Max truly is one of the all time greats of Formula 1</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">McLaren fumble at Vegas </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This weekend was just not meant to be for the Papaya team. They did not have the pace and finished a lowly P6 and P7. Lando is out of the race for World Championship. However the Constructors battle is well and truly on and they are currently leading it. They need to put everything together for the final two race if they want to wins the Constructors. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Hulkenburg was again impressive to score P8. Yuki Tsunoda got P9 and Checo got the final point at P10. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Vegas GP : George winner, Max World Champion. </h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="800" height="1000" src="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/vegas-drivers-standing-george-winner.jpg?resize=800%2C1000&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-1667" style="width:534px;height:auto" loading="lazy" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/vegas-drivers-standing-george-winner-scaled.jpg?resize=819%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 819w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/vegas-drivers-standing-george-winner-scaled.jpg?resize=240%2C300&amp;ssl=1 240w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/vegas-drivers-standing-george-winner-scaled.jpg?resize=768%2C960&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/vegas-drivers-standing-george-winner-scaled.jpg?resize=1229%2C1536&amp;ssl=1 1229w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/vegas-drivers-standing-george-winner-scaled.jpg?w=1638&amp;ssl=1 1638w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Lewis Hamilton wins for the 105th time, this one in Belgium. George was disqualified after the race due to race issues. LeClerc got P3</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Race win no. 105 for Lewis in Belgium </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It was a not a race where Mercedes were in the front. In fact Lewis rued they had one of the worst days on Friday. McLaren were clearly the fastest car and with a 10-place grid penalty Max was out of the contention. However Mercedes slowly kept chipping up. Lewis Hamilton is a 7-time World Champion and it showed this weekend how. He extracted the maximum out of the package given to him. In Quali he slowly kept chipping away and ended up at decent P3 position, with George in P6. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At the race start he got off to a flier and overtook Perez who was starting at P2. Then within a few laps he overtook LeClerc who had started at Pole. Lewis kept the lead for the majority of the race until George came up with a different sublime plan. George went completely against the rest of the field and decided to go for a 1-stop strategy. Fresh asphalt has been laid at the Belgium track and looks like the tire degradation was not that severe. George nursed his car for 34 laps and took the chequered flag, narrowly beating Hamilton and a charging Oscar Piastri. He deserved the victory but was unfortunately disqualified as his car was found 1.5kgs under-weight. Still nothing takes away from Lewis as he too drove a fantastic race. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Red Bull lagging in Belgium </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Both the Red Bull drivers were disappointed and rightly so. Sergio Perez narrowly squeezed through to Q2 but then put a spectacular lap to start the race P2. However he fumbled the start and was overtook by Lewis. Then he kept falling back and eventually finished a lowly P7, which doesn’t help much with the Constructor’s Championship. Similarly Max Verstappen had a 10-place grid penalty but he couldn’t move up the grid that fast either and ended up finishing P4. Red Bull are just 42 points behind McLaren in Constructors and there are still 10 races to go. So anything can happen. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">McLaren fumble </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Lando Norris did not get a good start and his race was pretty much done at that point. He finished P5, behind Max. Oscar had a better race but a pit-stop fumble meant he was behind the Mercs. Thanks to George disqualification, he got a decent P2 position. They had the fastest car and yet could not capitalize on it. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Ferrari are now the 4th fastest car on the grid – behind McLaren, Red Bull and the Mercs. Charles somehow managed to pull a stunner and put his car on Pole. However he could not hold on to it and finished P3. Carlos had an average race and he finished P6. Alonso, Ocon and Ricciardo got the final three places. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Lewis Hamilton won for the first time since 2021, that too at home in British GP. Max came in second and Lando third. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="800" height="534" src="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/hamilton-british-gp-.jpg?resize=800%2C534&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-1611" loading="lazy" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/hamilton-british-gp-.jpg?resize=1024%2C683&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/hamilton-british-gp-.jpg?resize=300%2C200&amp;ssl=1 300w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/hamilton-british-gp-.jpg?resize=768%2C512&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/hamilton-british-gp-.jpg?w=1200&amp;ssl=1 1200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Lewis Hamilton : King of British GP </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Come the hour, come the man. The last race Lewis Hamilton won was in Saudi Arabia in 2021. Since then there have been no victories and even Lewis doubted himself whether another victory will come his way or not. Till 2021 he has been someone who is used to winning with his first F1 win coming way back in 2007. Since 2022 and the new regulations, Mercedes have just missed the mark. Max Verstappen has taken almost all the victories and he has been absolutely dominant. Even team-mate George Russell has tasted success with victories in Brazil and last week in Austria. However Lewis was stuck at 103 race wins and what better way to end the drought with a victory at home – the legendary British GP at Silverstone. This would be his record 9th victory at a single circuit – which also happens to be his home race. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Starting from the front row, Lewis always looked formidable. At it started to rain, it was Lewis who was the quicker of the two Mercedes drivers and soon he got the race lead. However McLarens were too fast and soon they were ahead. But then in the last stint Lewis came out ahead of Lando and worked his magic to make the Softs runs for 12 runs on the very punishing British GP track. While Lando succumbed to Max on hards, Lewis maintained his pace and stayed ahead right till the chequered flag. It is a victory he will relish for a long time. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Team-mate George Russell had an absolute disaster as he had to retire the car due to water issues. Starting from Pole he could have easily finished in P2 at least but today was not in his destiny. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Another race lost by McLaren </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">McLaren was overall the fastest car in the race and yet Lando and Piastri finished P3 and P4 respectively. As the race started both the McLaren drivers took the lead when it started to drizzle. However the first poor pit stop call meant that McLaren did not go for double-stack and kept Piastri hanging dry on the slicks as it started to rain heavily. He lost a lot of time and dropped from P2 to P5. Then in the final pit-stop McLaren lost time and came out behind Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton, instead of front. Worst they put on the Softs when they actually had the Mediums and it was the best option. Max soon overtook Lando when his Hards were activated. Piastri was able to match the pace of Max but it was not enough. McLaren needs to put its act together if they want to put up a fight to Max and Red Bull </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Red Bull missing at the British GP </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Red Bulls did not look like a Championship winning team this weekend at the British GP. Sergio Perez was out in Q1 and bad calls meant that he was way behind everyone. Max was itchy the entire weekend. Starting P4 he did not have the pace to beat McLaren and the Mercedes. Still some good pit-stop calls and the unbelievable talent of Max meant that he finished a decent P2. Red Bulls do not have the pace advantage anymore. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Hulkenburg scored a superb P6 position again and HAAS would be super delighted. Even Aston Martin would be happy with the P7 and P8 finish. Albon came P9 and Yuki Tsunoda got a P10. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">British GP : Lewis won his 9th home race </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Max and Lando crash into each other and end up giving victory to George in Austria. Oscar and Carlos picked up the pieces.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="800" height="450" src="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/austria-lando-max-crash-.jpg?resize=800%2C450&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-1607" loading="lazy" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/austria-lando-max-crash-.jpg?resize=1024%2C576&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/austria-lando-max-crash-.jpg?resize=300%2C169&amp;ssl=1 300w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/austria-lando-max-crash-.jpg?resize=768%2C432&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/austria-lando-max-crash-.jpg?resize=1536%2C864&amp;ssl=1 1536w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/austria-lando-max-crash-.jpg?w=1920&amp;ssl=1 1920w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/austria-lando-max-crash-.jpg?w=1600&amp;ssl=1 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Mega crash in Austria </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It seemed to be inevitable as the pressure was building up in Austria. To be sure Red Bull Max were looking to be clear favorites. They had a solid Practice session, the only one, and Max was at the top. Then he was P1 in the Sprint Quali. Then he came first in the Sprint. He was leading comfortably but not by a big margin in the race in Austria and it seemed that a 7-second gap was good enough.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"> Lando was there at P2 but he was not able to close the gap. Then a botched pit-stop by RedBull reduced the gap from 7 to 3 seconds. This gave Lando the opportunity he was looking for and he was right there at the gearbox of Max. With more than 10 laps remaining there was plenty of opportunity to pass by. Before even the crash happened there was plenty of bickering by both the drivers. Lando accused Max of moving in the braking zone and Max accused Lando of dive-bombing. Lando tried going on the inside for a few times, locked up but could not hold on to the lead. Then he tried going from the outside and Max just moved a bit more towards Lando. This was enough to cause a crash between the two front-runners. Both ended up getting puncher. Max still somehow finished P5 but Lando had to retire his car. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This crash was eerily reminiscent of the 2021 season where Max pushed the limits with Hamilton. Max and Lando are good friends but it will be tested for sure Austria onwards. Max doesn’t have the edge of the last two seasons and he needs to push harder to stay in front. Lando meanwhile is hungry for more wins and even to be in the fight for the championship. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">George picking up the pieces in Austria</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As the two front-runners crashed, it was <a href="https://formula1.buzz/mercedes/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">George</a> who was actually 13 seconds behind them, picked up the pieces and won the race in Austria, his second F1 win in his career. To be fair he did have a good weekend overall and deserved to be the one to win. Lewis Hamilton was out of touch this weekend and had some damage to his car too. He finished P4. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Oscar did not have the qualifying he expected with his last lap deleted. That would have put his car on P3 and potentially he could have won the race. However he would be happy with P2, given that he started P7. Carlos did a decent job too. P5 was expected and ended up P3 on the podium. Pere had another weekend to forget as he finished P7. </p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">HAAS in form in Austria </h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Another team that ended up doing well was HAAS. Hulkenburg finished a mighty P6 and Magnussen P8. They would be chuffed with the points haul. Ricciardo came in at P9 and Gasly got the final point.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Austria Race Classification : George wins as Max Lando collide </h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="800" height="450" src="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/austria-race-classfication-lando-max-george.jpg?resize=800%2C450&#038;ssl=1" alt="" class="wp-image-1608" loading="lazy" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/austria-race-classfication-lando-max-george.jpg?w=1024&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/austria-race-classfication-lando-max-george.jpg?resize=300%2C169&amp;ssl=1 300w, https://i0.wp.com/formula1.buzz/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/austria-race-classfication-lando-max-george.jpg?resize=768%2C432&amp;ssl=1 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure>
